My Bark Space Store was borne from a love of all animals.
A love which developed in my early years with my first pet as a one year old. A jet black Labrador crossed with a German Shepherd, named ‘King” He was a beloved family member who used to sit watch under my bassinet as I slept in the garden on warm sunny days.
Soon followed was a black and white cat, “Twinkles” who managed to play nice even when dressed up in dolls clothes and carried around in my dolls pram.
As I grew so did my love for nature and the environment, with studies in Biological Science and 20 years’ experience working with animals including years of working as a Vet Nurse, Alpaca Farmer and Wildlife Carer.
Cassie – guarding my first borne – now years later he has become an avid animal lover, as has his younger sister!
As an adult, my furry family member was a dog, a big fluffy sweetheart. She was an Old English Sheepdog, named “Cassie” with extreme skin and food allergies. Out of a necessity I started making all natural dog treats which not only prevented her allergy flare ups, but also helped to ease her condition.

In 2013, we launched Big Paws Little Paws Hydrobath Services where we noticed the increase in similar skin and food allergies in all my dog customers. We then created “Cassie’s Choice” all natural dog treats and custom made alpaca wool dog coats. The coats are all natural woven alpaca wool coats, in natural tones (no nasty chemicals) with natural cotton flannelette lining.
We wanted to share these products and related environmentally friendly and quality products and gifts, to bring some happiness to you and your furkid, best mate or furry friend. We hope you enjoy! Cheers Simone.
